Founded and Directed by Crystal Bain, Ripple Dance Company is a professional, contemporary-modern dance company in Coeur d' Alene, ID.
Our mission at Ripple Dance Company is sharing our love for dance with others with ingenuity, innovation and originality. We strive to make a ripple in our community not only through our performances but also through education. When an object hits water it creates ripples which radiate in every direction. When those ripples hit something they have an impact. We want to create ripples in our community by cultivating a love for movement and nurturing the creativity in dance with our artists and audiences.
Crystal Bain is an active choreographer and educator in her community. She teaches 4th grade at Sorensen Arts & Humanities Magnet School during the day. Before school starts she has a dance performance team ranging from Kindergartners to 5th graders who can be seen performing in the community at different events. In the evenings when she isn’t with her family she is choreographing/directing for different theater companies. She has her Bachelors in Dance and Elementary Education from the University of Idaho. Go Vandals! She is currently getting her Master of Arts in Dance Education from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. She has choreographed for many shows like, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, SYM, Cinderella, Midsummer Night's Dream, and many others. She is finally fulfilling one of her lifelong dreams by starting and running her own dance company. Crystal hopes to make a ripple.
Jessie has been involved with the performing arts since she was a little girl. From dance and choreography to acting and stage managing, she loves it all. At age 13 she started choreographing gymnastics floor routines for competitive gymnasts in the area. She is still doing it to this day (19 years later) and loves what she does. Jessie graduated with honors from the University of Montana with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Performance/ Choreography in 2015. She immediately moved back to the Coeur d'Alene area and since then she has performed in "Traditions of Christmas", and "SYM" and has choreographed multiple award-winning dance competition pieces. Jessie took a break from 2019 - 2021 to focus on her family and to enjoy being a first-time mom. She was accepted into Ripple Dance Co. in June of 2021 and she couldn't have been happier. Being a member of Ripple Dance Co. is a dream come true and she can't wait for next season.
